All Celebrants are in high demand during the busy September
to December & February to May calendar periods. To ensure
that you are able to book the celebrant of your choice most
ceremonies need to be booked at least 6 months in advance
but preferably 12 months. It is of course possible to
organise a beautiful and appropriate ceremony within a
shorter time frame. The legal requirement is that the
marrying couple must give notice to the celebrant no less
that one month and one day before the marriage date. To
ensure your booking fully meets your requirements it is
important to begin early.
My
office in Rainbow Beach is a convenient location for our
first meeting. I prefer to make this a friendly, relaxed
discussion where we can easily make plans and communicate
the ideas that you both wish to incorporate in your
ceremony. For Gympie residents, especially couples with
children it may be possible, to arrange the first meeting in
your home. This service is provided on weekends and only
where it is possible to co-ordinate with my other
commitments.
My
service can be tailored to individual requirements by email
and postal service. Since it is possible to make all
preparations by phone and email the process is convenient
for those clients who are unable to come to Rainbow Beach
before the wedding.
I
can provide support and assistance to overseas clients and
have on a number of occasions completely organised the
ceremony by email. A wedding in Australia can really be
quite simple to arrange. Legally, for marriage in Australia
you will need to prove your identity & that you are single
and therefore are free to marry. Unlike most countries,
marriages in Australia do not have to be conducted in a
Church, Town Hall or Register Office. To have a civil
wedding in Australia, all you need is two witnesses who are
over 18 years old, you & your partner and a Wedding
Celebrant. In Australia - because of the fantastic weather &
liberal marriage rules - most couples choose to conduct
their wedding ceremony outdoors.
